ACIDOPHILUS PLUS
What is used for?Acidophilus Plus is a potent probiotic supplement. Probiotics (pro – for, bio – life) are live micro-organisms that assist us by improving the balance of the “good bugs” in the gut to the bad ones (e.g. E.coli).
A regular supply of probiotic bacteria can be successful in achieving / restoring this balance by out-competing the bad bugs for nutrients, stopping them from adhering to the gut wall, producing inhibitory substances and by creating an environment that they don’t like (i.e. acid).
Throughout history humans have benefited from the inclusion of these organisms/bacteria via cultured dairy products in the diet. Clinical investigation into the health-giving benefits of good bacteria has also lead to the use of more potent, predictable levels in dietary supplements.
The active ingredients in Acidophilus Plus are encapsulated in a special polysaccharide matrix delivery system, which enables bacteria to survive the acid environment of the stomach and effectively colonise the intestines.
Acidophilus Plus can be of particular benefit after antibiotic therapy or gastrointestinal upset as it can help re-establish the digestive flora.

Physical description
Small, two piece white gelatin capsules containing a fine, beige powder.
Dosage
Adults take one capsule, two to three times a day with food or as professionally directed.
